#181 - John Jonas gets REAL about hiring Filipino virtual assistants with OnlineJobs.ph

See this content in the original post

John Jonas lives in Utah, and he founded OnlineJobs.ph. His life is better because of his Filipino virtual assistants. John had a regular "job" for eight months after college, and his biggest goal at that time was to be able to quit that job. John managed to quit back in 2004 and worked from home for himself ever since then. When he first hired someone from the Philippines in January of 2006, John knew he was onto something special. Since then, John has learned that for most people, life is better with Filipino workers on your team. Yes, because of his Filipino workers, he gets to play golf, spend loads of time with his wife and kids, and get out backpacking in the middle of the week. John works for about 17 hours a week because of the fantastic work they do.

In this episode of the Be Real Show, Jon and Travis open up the show discussing the need behind hiring Filipino virtual assistants. At first, John had a reference from someone to hire his first VA full-time. It was working so well; John wanted to create a platform for himself and others to find VAs without going through a company. The most common job on OnlineJobs.ph is a virtual assistant. Anything that can be done online or on a computer is done – building websites, data entry, admin work, and telemarketing. Then, John explains the cultural differences of people in the Philippines versus other cultures – people there are unusually loyal, hard-working, and honest. Stay tuned to hear John answer the top ten questions, including some cool places in Utah to check out.
